Who's up for the Parlor this week?

Anyone want to head back to the Parlor this week? It's been a while since we've been and the Kobe Beef sliders sure do sound good. Plus, the Hulk is playing @ the Lincoln Square Cinema too!!

And Chris...my girl says you better be here this week or she's going to hunt you down and put you over her knee and spank the bejesus out of your heiny!!!

It's Redhook This Week...

Dinner and at least a couple beers will be at Redhook this week, there's no bother debating it. My mom expects to see all of you there. You know who you are...

Alrighty-then...another week has (nearly) passed and Friday is upon us. UP ON us. As in, up in this bitch.

I, for one, will neither question the manner in which the blanket of freedom that I peacefully slumber under is provided, nor will I insult our parents, grandparents and forefather's by not enjoying the very hard-won liberties they struggled so dearly to gain on our behalf!

I would like to suggest that it is our manly (and where appropriate, womanly) duty to respond. It is incumbent upon (heh) us to rise to the challenge, collectively descend upon (heh) a predetermined location and consume various spirits and libations.

We will fight the tyranny of the work week and revel in the joyous occasion that is FRIDAY!

Saturday Beers???

Ok..not really, but for those of you who said you would help loading up the moving trailer there will be pizza and beer made available. That's this saturday, not sure what time you all want to do this but I'm sure morning is better as it'll leave your afternoon/evening free. Just let me know if you will be able to come so I know how much food/drink to get and if I'm going to have enough folks to do the work.

Camping this weekend

I'm not sure it it needs to be mentioned or not but... We are going camping this weekend and will not be around for our local tom foolery. For those that will not be joining us please do us the favor of enjoying beer laughing and generally having a good time at your local Bar.

Oh yeah at Redhook Friday night.

This Friday is gonna be a bit different....

The T-Mobile honchos have a 'going-away' thing for a co-worker starting at 2PM at Redhook on Friday. So, we'll be there very early. However, where things get a bit out of the ordinary is that we are planning on heading to Seattle after being at Redhook for awhile. The guy who's leaving (Matt Nau-some of you may have met him) lives in Seattle and wants to continue the festivities over there and has offered to let some of us crash there over night, if neeed.....

So, don't have a ton of specifics at this point (like where we'll be heading to in Seattle, etc.), but I wanted to get this out to everyone so we could discuss (ad nauseum like we do!) and see if we could get everyone on board for going to Seattle...because it should be a really good time!

Ok, discuss amongst yourselves.

The idea was floated that I host Friday beers at my place this week so we can all watch the BSG season opener. Im down wit that! If we all bring a six pack and 5 bones for pizza, we would have lots to eat and drink for cheap! What say you? Amy, Your welcome to bring Trillian if you like...

Alright lets get this going!

There has been lots of talk off and on about going to Seattle. Well we all know what "Seattle" has to offer, so lets look at some you might not have known. Here are a few places I'd like to RE check out, except Duchess never been there. I was Think of having a bit of a pub crawl to keep the fun rolling. Starting at the North lake Tavern for the best pizza I have had, and then moving to the Tin Hat for some more beers. After that I'm open and honestly other than dieing for some pizza I'm also pretty open before that.

In loving memory... 1998-2008

This week, FridayBeers (starting at Redhook) is going to be at least partially devoted to being a memorial remembrance dedicated to our wonderful family member and faithful companion, Bianca, whom we lost on Wednesday. It was fairly unexpected but she went peacefully in her sleep during the night and I don't think she was in an inordinate amount of pain. Ironically, Monday the 17th was her (estimated) 10th birthday. She will be very dearly missed. We love you Bianca... RIP.

Here and not coming back...

Well kids, since half the gang has left for warmer climes and more picturesque locales, possibly for good, and the rest of us are variously otherwise indisposed with other engagements and/or just plain not feeling well, I do believe FB will be taking a buy week here... Certainly no doubt to return in some way next week, once we know for sure whether or not we have lost to love in the South Pacific core members of the crew... ;)

Taking a break this week

Hi all, I just wanted to let everyone know that Tami and I will be taking a break this week. It seems like a good time to tsince half our crew is in Hawaii getting freakin married and also because I've wanted to conserve budget-wise this week. By no means am I suggesting that no one else should go. Thanks! Please proceed with your regularly scheduled programs.

OK gang, another week, another Friday. And this Friday we do what we do every Friday: We. Drink. Beer. Back at Redhook, the usual place, usual time. Hope y'all can make it! And BTW, this is completely unrelated, but pretty goddamn funny...

It's been a while since we've kicked it at our usual haunt. Unless there is a protest, lets "Hook" up tonight at the end of the long and hard work day (ya right!) and toast to our health and happiness!

Well, kids, it's that time again! It's Friday, and you know what that means... Our favorite day mixed with our favorite drink at our favorite location for drinking it. Elizabeth says she will be there for a bit if we make it in early enough and we haven't had a beer in days, so tonite is the night - all the cool kids hang at the Hook....
